I'm often asked by a seven year old why I like to take photos of normal things.

"Charlotte, why are you taking a photo of your food, that room, the garden..?" I tell her it is because I like to record every day things and with them, my life.

When she's older I'll show her this film about Stephen Shore and I think it might help her get it a bit more.

when i look back at my mother and fathers old photos, those that show everyday life is the ones i love the most.
