These shots belie the movement and noise that is usually present in the upholstery workshop. Hammers, staple guns, sewing machines - they all want to be the loudest above the radio and chat that hums in the background.

But after all that, when the tools and chairs are put away, flat light and silence fill the big space, resting on the empty benches where the work is done.

The hammers, the staple gun, and the sewing machine are all loud talkers... and once more I find myself longing to take self to workshop and make use of loud tools. Your posts and accompanying visual splendor are to blame.
